Chapters for Change Book Club

The Guelph Climate Action Network is excited to announce the launch of Guelph’s very first climate change book club -  Chapters for Change!  Chapters for Change is a youth-led book club aiming to learn, share and create community in the face of the climate emergency. Through 4 monthly meetings we will discuss books that explore some of the critical climate issues and opportunities of our times.  

Mark your calendars and plan to join Attilio, Jace, Ori, Mackenzie and Ria as they work to create a safe space to explore diverse perspectives, foster thoughtful discussion and make space for hope, imagination and action.

Book titles include:

Eye of the Storm: Facing Climate and Social Chaos with Calm and Courage, by Terry Le Page

Here Comes the Sun: A Last Change for Climate and a Fresh Chance for Civilization, by Bill McKibben

Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants, by Robin Wall Kimmerer

Chapters for Change begins on Thursday, March  12, from 7 - 8pm upstairs at the Bookshelf.

Subsequent monthly meetings will be held on the second Thursday of each  month.
