CELP - Community Environmental Leadership Program

CELP is a 4 credit Interdisciplinary Program run by the Upper Grand District School Board for Grade 10 students based at the University of Guelph Arboretum.  Students participate in a field camp, bike unit and tree planting, teach a Grade 4 EcoStars program on habitat, and run a climate change conference for Grade 9 students through the Youth Climate Action Fund.  Follow us on Instagram at celp.program

The Climate Hope Lab is a collective that fosters climate hope through creativity and community.

eMERGE GUELPH

eMERGE fights climate change to build a healthier society. We do this by helping people reduce energy and water use. Promoting smart behaviour, policy, and improved efficiency helps Guelph work to achieve 100% renewable energy long before 2050.

Get Involved Guelph (GIG) brings together the information citizens need to make good decisions, create opportunities to listen to each other, and engage in projects and campaigns to ensure that every citizen benefits from an effective local government.

KAIROS Canada deliberates on issues of common concern, advocates for social change and joins with people of faith and goodwill in action for social transformation.

KAIROS Guelph is one of many local committees. Our recent focus areas include Ecological Justice: the climate crisis; Indigenous Rights; and combatting economic inequality.  Some actions: Climate Conversations; Blanket Exercise; Turn Debt into Hope petition.

Seniors for Climate Action Now! (SCAN!)

SCAN! Guelph aims to inform and mobilize others. We recognize that climate action is also a demand for social justice and economic transformation, and that we occupy Indigenous lands. We work to amplify the concerns of younger voices while adding our own to the call for climate action. We're in it for the sake of future generations.
