Community Climate Forum 2025: Learn, Plan, Act

Why hold a Community Climate Forum?
In 2018, the City of Guelph set municipal Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions targets for 2030 and 2050 as a strategy to combat climate degradation. In June of 2025, The City of Guelph released an update on local GHG emissions in a report called “A Community Call to Climate Action”. This report showed that local emissions, which dipped through the pandemic, are once again trending upwards.

Guelph Climate Action Network (GCAN), and its partners, are responding to the City of Guelph’s Community Call to Climate Action Report by hosting the “Community Climate Forum 2025: Learn,Plan, Act”. We are taking action to ensure that our municipality has a robust, outcome-focused, community-led plan to manage and reduce GHG emissions in our community.

You are invited to attend.
